Practical Support That Meets You
Where You Are

The Engage Wellness outpatient program delivers proven therapeutic care while allowing you to maintain your day-to-day responsibilities. Located 30 minutes from Boston in a peaceful setting, our program provides structured support and evidence-based treatment that fits your schedule. Our expert team combines clinical excellence with unconditional support to help you start over and create the future you want to live.

What is an Outpatient Program?

Outpatient treatment provides structured therapeutic support while allowing you to live at home and maintain your daily responsibilities.[1] This offers more flexibility than residential treatment, where you stay on-site at a facility 24/7. This level of care lets you attend therapy sessions and receive medical support with more independence and autonomy and works well for those in early recovery who don’t require around-the-clock supervision and those stepping down from more intensive treatment programs.

You’ll participate in individual counseling, group therapy, and other therapeutic services while practicing recovery skills in your everyday environment. At Engage Wellness, our outpatient program empowers you to continue your recovery journey while maintaining meaningful commitments at work, home, school, and elsewhere. Treatment includes a minimum of one hour of group therapy weekly, plus individual therapy and medical support designed to your needs.

Key features of our program include personalized treatment plans that combine one-on-one therapy, group sessions, and psychiatric care to support your unique path to recovery. Our program also has flexible scheduling options that let you balance your recovery with daily responsibilities, making healing accessible on your terms.

Our outpatient program serves as a starting point for those beginning treatment and a stepping stone for those transitioning from more intensive care. Small groups of 10 to 12 people ensure you receive the individual attention needed to thrive in recovery.

The Benefits of Outpatient Care

Outpatient treatment is an ideal stepping stone between intensive care and independent living.[2] Our treatment team combines clinical expertise with personal recovery experience to create a welcoming environment where healing flourishes. This approach lets you practice recovery skills in real-world situations while receiving consistent support from professionals who understand your journey.

The flexibility of outpatient care means you can maintain employment, continue your education, or fulfill family obligations while receiving treatment. Our day therapy and intensive outpatient programs offer various scheduling options that accommodate your responsibilities. Your customized treatment plan adapts to your unique needs, helping you build confidence and independence as you navigate recovery.

Regular connection with therapists and peer groups strengthens your resilience and self-awareness. You’ll learn to identify triggers, develop healthy coping strategies, and overcome obstacles while staying focused on your goals. This combination of professional guidance and peer support creates a strong foundation for lasting recovery, addressing both substance use and mental health needs in a comprehensive, healing-centered approach.

Engage Wellness employs experienced addiction professionals who bring expertise and authentic compassion to your care. We focus on teaching practical recovery tools while providing the emotional support needed to rebuild your life. Frequently Asked Questions

Does insurance cover outpatient treatment?

Our admissions team specializes in helping you navigate the insurance process. We accept all commercial insurance plans and maintain in-network status with TRICARE, making treatment accessible and affordable. When you contact us, our team thoroughly verifies your benefits and explains your coverage in detail, including any deductibles or copayments. We believe in complete cost transparency and will work closely with your insurance provider to maximize your benefits.

Do I need a referral for outpatient treatment?

No referral is required to begin treatment at our facility. The admissions process starts with your call – our experienced admissions representatives will conduct a free, comprehensive assessment to understand your specific needs and challenges. This assessment helps determine the most appropriate level of care for your situation. We can often schedule your initial assessment within 24 hours of contact. Our team also assists with gathering any necessary medical records or previous treatment information to ensure continuity of care.

What if I need more intensive care?

Your safety and well-being remain our top priority throughout treatment. Our clinical team continuously assesses your progress and needs. If we determine that you would benefit from a higher level of care, our case management team coordinates all aspects of the transition process. We maintain strong relationships with quality residential and inpatient facilities throughout the region and will help you find the right program for your specific situation. Once you complete more intensive treatment, we welcome you back to our outpatient program to continue your recovery journey.
